“Inspired by a shocking real-life report from the Social Emergency Services, this short animation presents a symbolic narrative about the hidden and often overlooked dangers of the virtual world for children.
The story follows a four-year-old girl who, through identification with a character in a mobile game, steps into an imaginary world — enchanting at first, yet increasingly sinister.
It begins with her father asleep on the couch, phone in hand. Bored and disinterested in her dolls, the girl tosses one into the trash. Quietly, she takes the phone from her father’s hand, walks to her room, lies on her bed, and excitedly starts playing.
Dazzled by the glowing colors, catchy music, and the seductive game world, her mind becomes fully immersed. With each level, she drifts further from reality — running, jumping, laughing — until she reaches the final step. Believing she can fly like the game character, she leaps from the edge… and a dark, harrowing, endless fall begins.
But as the heartbeat-like sound intensifies and the camera pulls back, it’s revealed: the nightmare belongs to the father. He wakes up breathless and panicked, rushing to his daughter’s room — only to find her peacefully asleep among her dolls, unaware of the storm in his mind.
Everything seems calm — yet the story carries a stark warning: the digital world, no matter how colorful and enticing, may ultimately reveal a darker, more dangerous face.
